What do I need to do?
We can’t always guarantee that the previous account holder will have given us a meter reading, so it’s really important we get one of these as quickly as possible to make sure your bills are as accurate as possible.

How do I make payment?
As you're a deemed customer, you'll need to register a card on our online portal.
To do this, please register for a portal account by hitting the ‘reset password’ button here.
Once you have done this, please log onto the portal and click the ‘Payments’ button and follow the steps to register your card.

Who are The Student Energy Group?
The Student Energy Group are an Eco Friendly, White Label Provider of Energy. We can also provide Broadband, TV Licence and Water as part of your monthly bill should you wish to sign up to our services.
Why are you billing us and how did you get our details?
Most likely, the previous occupants of your property used our services. We have been provided your details (most likely from the outgoing billpayer) and are therefore billing yourself as the new liable party. We also use credit reference agencies to determine who is living in a property so we can get the right bill to the right person.
What tariff are you billing us on?
We are billing you on the latest Government Price Cap.
How does billing work?
We won’t bill you to actual usage, but will bill you a fixed monthly Payment Notice. Every quarter, we’ll reconcile your account based on readings or estimated usage and give you a statement that reflects your usage. To send reads into us, either login to you online portal and submit or email team@thestudentenergygroup.com and we can add them for you.

I want to switch to a new provider, what can I do?
We’ll be sad to see you go! The contract you are in with The Student Energy Group is a ‘Deemed Contract’, which means you’re free to switch whenever you wish. Simply let us know you want to switch away by dropping us an email, and get in touch with your chosen provider to initiate the transfer.
